Yes. smartist studio is in beta, and during the beta Pro is free too. The free plan covers songs, setlists, gigs and the artist hub, for up to 100 songs and 30 MB of files. Pro adds venues, organisers, GEMA import and unlimited songs and storage; switch it on in your settings. Donations are welcome and keep the project running, but they are a gift and unlock nothing.
Yes. The full source is on GitHub under the AGPL licence. It runs on a Vercel account with a Neon Postgres database, so one band can have its own copy on its own domain.
No. smartist studio runs in the browser on phone, tablet and laptop. The stage view shows the setlist full screen on the device you put on your amp.
English, French and German. The app picks your browser language and you can switch in the footer.
Every song has its key, tempo, energy, genre, lyrics and your own notes. Search, filter and sort by any of them, choose which columns you see, and edit many songs at once.
Yes. Email a setlist as a PDF, send a stage link so the band can follow it on their phones, and optionally publish your song catalogue for fans. Everything else stays private to your band.
Yes. Invite them by email and give each one a role: admin, member, or viewer for people who should only read.
GEMA works today: import your GEMA export as CSV, preview it before anything is saved, and the works are matched to your songs automatically. Other societies such as SACEM are not supported yet.
Subscribe to your gigs from Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook with a calendar feed, import your GEMA works, and collect your Spotify, Bandcamp and social links in the artist hub.

Connections are encrypted, passwords are stored only as salted hashes, and every workspace is private by default. You decide what, if anything, is visible without logging in.
There is no tracking and nothing is sold. The app and its database run in Frankfurt. You can download your data as spreadsheet files and delete your account yourself at any time.
